Before beginning, you should take a look at my discussion on prophecy, as it contains some of the principles which have guided me in making this interpretation. There is some urgency in the message contained here, as my interpretation reveals that the world will end sometime before the next president of the United States is sworn into office at noon on January 20, 2001. I can not determine with any greater accuracy the exact date. Of course, you should bear in mind that this is a fallible human interpretation of the text, so I may be wrong. The best way to prepare for the events which may be at hand are the same that have been advocated by Christians for the past 2000 years. These methods have not prevented them from living relatively normal lives, so do not take any extraordinary measures. Editor's Note: While Angelo Amberson's predictions seemed, at the time of posting, to point to a time at or near the turn of the millenium, the following considerations have led us at hellos.com to keep the site up and running:

• The Presidential election of 2000 was so strange that the possibility of a usurpation of power in the US can not be ruled out. If this has happened, then Angelo's prediction of a fall of the US government in 2001 has been accurate. Readers should bear in mind that ancient Romans did not really figure out that their Republic had collapsed and had been replaced by an empire for up to 50 years after the event.
• The conventional method of numbering the presidents counts Grover Cleveland as two Presidents (the 22nd and 24th), since Angelo's count followed this convention, he regarded Clinton as the 42nd (and last) president. A good case could be made that the current president is the 42nd, so Angelo's predictions would apply to his presidency.
• The attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, struck us as sounding peculiarly like Revelation 18:9-19.
• The collapse of the peace process in Palestine has brought about a condition that is, in fact, a war (though no one dares to speak the word).
• The US's War on Terrorism (which, by definition, appears to be, in fact, a war on every person and state in the world) and the current call for a pre-emptive strike on Iraq seem to signal things found in Revelation 13:4-8.
